Q: Who is Dara?

A: Someone who enjoys creating art, and wants to share it with others. Southern born, southwestern raised, and enjoying life in beautiful Colorado. My experience & background in art is listed here on my CV.

Q: Why do you make art?

A: To express what words can't. To connect, to communicate, to remember things, feel things, share things. To explore, learn, explain, relax, have fun, to be free. To live. Because I don't know how to exist without doing it, it's always been there. It's how I understand the world around me.

Q: What kind of art do you like to make?

A: All kinds really, I love trying different thing. I make weird art, fun art, emotional art; it depends on the inspiration for the piece. You can look at some of my work HERE.

Q: So are you a fine artist or an Illustrator? Or a graphic designer? Commercial artist?

A: Yes to all those things! What do you need done? I love being able to adapt to different situations based on the problem that needs to be solved. I have experience in all of the above listed disciplines, I like to know how to do a little of everything. I love challenging myself and learning new things then mixing it together with other mediums!

Q: It sounds like you use multiple types of media, do you have any one in particular you enjoy the most?

A: My favorite things to create are mixed media pieces, but sometimes the project will guide the type what I use. It will always have a pop of color though (unless it's black & white, which I also sometimes like lol.)! There is a LIST of the techniques/mediums I am skilled in at the bottom of this interview.

Q: Have you always been into creating stuff? Do you think you'll always make art?

A: Yep, ever since I can remember I've always been making something. And yea, I hope so. I like it, even if no one else does. I'll always have an urge to create.
